B Championship MEET OVERVIEW

Saturday, March 10

Start Time – 3:00PM

Doors to facility will not be open until 1:30, PLEASE do not plan on accessing the facility prior to that!

Teams involved in Session: Westboro, Westwood, Wellesley, Sudbury, Acton-Boxboro, and Framingham

1:50 Check-in time in team area** (you’ll likely want to be there prior to that)

2:05 – ALL swimmers report to deck ready for warm-up – far corner by the shallow end.

2:12 – 2:22 – Designated Warm-up Time –Norwood and Wellesley we will have lanes 4-6.

3:00 Start

  • **As you enter the facility head for the stairs in the main entry way and keep walking through the double doors. We will have a seating area within the locker area, look for our “Norwood” sign. All seating will be pre-assigned by the meet director.
  • Parking at Keefe Tech is tight. Please carpool with other families if you can. Park in only designated parking spaces. They have police detail in the parking lot and they will be towing vehicles if needed.
  • Please have your swimmers come in their swimsuits.
  • Bring blankets and sleeping bags and lots of warm clothing! Plan on sharing blankets to sit on. We MUST keep aisle ways open in the team seating area.
  • Spectators MUST remain in the stands.
  • Please help us with the swimmers and siblings who might come to the meet.  Listed below are some guidelines that were provided to us by the meet director.
    • NO food is allowed in the stands.
    • NO Running in the building.
    • Hanging around the locker rooms is not permitted.
    • All iPods or iTouches they must wear headphones music is being played.
    • NO swimmers or spectators are allowed to wander throughout the building.
    • NO Glass is allowed in the building
  • Please police our team area for garbage. I will bring a couple garbage can liners to help contain the messes.
  • Programs and t-shirts will be on sale at the meet.
  • The meet will be seeded slowest to fastest based on time and final places will be based on ALL Heats.
  • Awards will be given for the session 1 – 16 place

 

B-Championship Pizza Option

Given that the meet will likely run a bit into the dinner hour, we are offering to bring pizza in for those families who would like to take advantage of this option. Otherwise, please plan to bring food for your swimmer and yourself. There will be a snack bar open, but we make no promises as to what is being offered and how long it will remain open during the swim meet.

If you are interested; please bring $5 to the meet this weekend in an envelope with your family name on it and the number of people from your family at the swim meet. Give the envelope to Marie Bonner BEFORE the start of the meet.
